Which retro consoles can have HDMI mods installed?

What's the difference between PixelFX RetroGEM and HiSpeedido?
PixelFX Retro GEM is a premium solution with advanced features including scanline emulation, upscaling, and per-console optimisation. Do HDMI mods affect the original hardware?
HDMI mods are installed internally and output a clean digital signal. The original analogue outputs on most consoles are preserved, and the mod does not alter gameplay or console behaviour in any way.
Is an internal HDMI mod better than a plug-in HDMI adapter?
A plug-in adapter converts the console's analogue output (composite, S-Video, component or VGA) into HDMI, so the picture can only be as sharp as that analogue signal, and cheaper converters add blur and sometimes lag. An internal HDMI mod takes the video digitally from inside the console, before it is ever converted to analogue, for a pixel-sharp, lag-free picture. It is a permanent upgrade with nothing hanging off the back of the console. Each console page explains the options for that console.
How do I send my console for an HDMI upgrade in Australia?
Book the HDMI upgrade in the Build Your Service tool on your console's page. Your order confirmation includes our PO Box address, so post your console with Australia Post and write your order number on the parcel. Is there a warranty on HDMI installs?
Yes. Our installation workmanship carries a 12-month warranty. As you supply the HDMI kit, our warranty covers the quality of our installation, not the kit itself. Read our service terms.
