Common Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED

How do I book a service?

Choose your options in the Build Your Service tool at the top of this page and check out. Prices are fixed and shown as you build. Your order confirmation includes the address to post your console to.

Can I combine multiple services?

Yes. Add everything you want to one build and it is carried out as a single job, with one trip through the post. Options already covered by another, such as a Deep Clean inside a Full Service, are included automatically so you never pay twice.

Is an internal GameCube HDMI mod better than a plug-in HDMI adapter?

Early GameCube models (DOL-001) have a Digital AV port, and adapters that plug into it give a good digital picture. Later models (DOL-101) dropped that port, so plug-in adapters for them convert the analogue output, which is noticeably softer. An internal HDMI mod works on every GameCube model and reads the video digitally inside the console for a sharp, lag-free picture.

How do I send my console in?

Post it with Australia Post to the PO Box in your order confirmation, with your order number on the parcel. Australia Post is required, as other couriers can't deliver to a PO Box. Drop-off in Bicton, WA is also available by arrangement.

How long does it take?

Our current turnaround is 3 days from the day we receive your console. It may run slightly longer during busy periods, and we keep you updated along the way.

Is there a warranty on your work?

Yes. Our workmanship and any parts we supply carry a 12-month warranty. Where you supply a part, such as an HDMI kit or a replacement shell, our warranty covers the quality of our installation only. Read our service terms.

How is return postage handled?

Return postage is invoiced when the work is complete. We return your console with the same Australia Post service you used to send it — Express in, Express back.

Do I need to supply any parts?

Upgrade kits and replacement shells are usually supplied by you, so you can choose exactly the one you want — each option says what is included. Standard parts such as LEDs and capacitors are included in the price of the service.
